The international dialing code for the Seychelles is +248.

There are two GSM networks: Cable&Wireless and Airtel.

Payphones are available in most districts on the Inner Islands. Also the international roaming agreement between the Seychelles and other countries is constantly expanded.

The offices of internet service providers and internet cafes are located in or around central Victoria and in the Beau Vallon area on Mahé, as well as on Praslin and La Digue.

Internet

The Internet is available in Internet Cafes on the three main islands of Mahe, Praslin and La Digue. There is also the option of purchasing a local SIM card (Cable&Wireless or Airtel), that can be inserted into the phone or modem. In case of using the Internet from your own provider, check the international roaming charges.

Charges (approx.):

  • 49 SRC (about 3,07Є or $3,61) for 150 MB of data
  • 549 SRC (about 34,40Є or $40,34) for 3000 MB of data plus 3000 MB for Facebook

Airtel

Charges (approx.):

  • 49 SRC (about 3,07Є or $3,61) for 150 MB of data
  • 499 SRC (about 31,27Є or $36,74) for 2500 MB of data

Internet on the boat

On every boat there is WiFi router (included in Transit Log). Internet cards can be ordered at the base.
