On Mahé and Praslin islands there are plenty of car rental companies which offer vehicles for 30–60Є per day including insurance. On the airport there are Thrifty, Hertz, Sixt, 3Click and Tipoa Car Hires. All car rental companies offer hotel and airport delivery. Some rental companies might require a special fee for young drivers (at the age of 18). The maximum age to rent a car is 75. An International Drivers Permission is not mandatory. Driving License from home country is valid and accepted.
In the Seychelles driving is on the left side of the road. The speed limit is 40 km/h in built-up area and 65 km/h on the open roads. Drivers and front-seat passengers are mandatory to wear seatbelts. For day driving headlights are not allowed. Driving is restricted to sealed roads only, no dirt track roads.
